Medical Assistant/LPN

Pain Management Centers of New England is Pain Management Clinic based in Newburyport Massachusetts. Our goal is to focus on alleviating pain and restoring quality of life for patients throughout New England. The Pain Management Centers of New England team uses a multidisciplinary approach encompassing the latest state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and treatments to help patients find relief from their acute and chronic pain. .

The Medical Assistant position is a great opportunity for individuals looking to work in a fast-paced doctor's office and advance their career. The successful candidate will have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, as well as proven experience working with the public. Previous experience working with pain management is a plus but not required as training will be provided. Our team is looking for an individual who is positive, extremely reliable and committed to providing their patients with the highest level of care. This position will be responsible for assisting the physicians and supporting staff in the daily operations of the practice.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with physicians, medical staff and patients
• Complete patient intake and discharge including vital signs, medication reconciliation and progress data
• Assist physicians with surgical room set up and procedure documentation
• Document patient pain assessments during consultations and follow up visits
• Manage the workflow of appointments so that patients are seen in good time
• Schedule patient office and procedure visits
• Request medical authorizations from insurance plans as needed
• Collect samples and complete lab documentation
• Sterilize surgical equipment
• Assist Practice Manager with project management/tasks

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

License/Certification:

• LPN (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
