Job Summary
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED Medical Assistant/Medical Aesthetician in dermatology to join our healthcare team. This role combines clinical support with aesthetic treatments, providing exceptional patient care while assisting healthcare providers in a fast-paced outpatient or clinic setting. Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including gathering medical history and documenting symptoms accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation to monitor patient health status
- Assist healthcare providers with dermatology procedures, aesthetic treatments, and basic medical interventions in outpatient or clinic environments
- Support medication administration and injection procedures following proper protocols and safety standards
- Conduct skin assessments, prepare patients for treatments, and provide post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment notes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Assist with clinical tasks such as X-ray preparation, basic anatomy and physiology explanations, and emergency response procedures including Basic Life Support (BLS) protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or medical-surgical settings; hospital or Level I/II trauma center experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures
- Hands-on experience with EHR systems and patient service workflows in outpatient or clinic environments
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or advanced clinical skills are a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent patient care and support diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric intensive care units (PICU)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or hospital inpatient units while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
