Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. We are a busy Occupational Medicine office, the position includes patient vitals, rooming of patients, venipuncture, hearing/vision testing, etc. We would also provide training to become a certified drug and alcohol collector. This position will be 2-4 days each week, 5-7 hrs daily.
Additional responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures.
- Manage phone systems with professionalism, answering inquiries promptly and scheduling appointments efficiently.
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as intake assessments, documentation review.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, data entry using Microsoft Office tools, and managing office supplies to support daily clinic operations.
- Support fellow staff with appointment scheduling, follow-up calls, and reminder notifications to optimize clinic flow.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
Skills: Must have great customer service skills, computer experience as well as organizational skills.
