Medical Assistant/Medical Scribe/Prior Authorization

Looking for Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist/Medical Scribe, preferably who wants to pursue further advancement in medical field such as Medical School or Physician Assistant program with knowledge of the subject of medical terminology. Previous experience of working as a scribe in ER or other medical clinics is a huge plus. No experience is necessary. Medical assistant certification is not required. However, previous experience with any EMR would be greatly beneficial. In the last two years, five of our medical assistants have been accepted to medical school or PA school with our training, experience, and reference letters. One of our medical assistants has also been accepted to and graduated from PA school at UTHSC and recently began working in Chicago.

We are looking for candidates who want to learn and excel in life. The idea candidate must be punctual and willing to work hard. We have two locations, one in Germantown and one in Whitehaven. We are in the Germantown location three days a week and in Whitehaven location two days a week. The job involves taking history of the patients, helping with precertification, understanding CPT and ICD codes and entering them in our EMR, medical documentation, drawing injections, patient call backs, etc. We do not draw blood for any test. Medical assistants will likely be needed to help in multiple other areas including patient check in, answering phones, making appointments, and helping with notes on E-clinical works.
