Medical Assistant/Ophthalmic Technician

Staten Island Ophthalmology, PC is a well-established ophthalmology practice committed to provide world-class eye care on Staten Island. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team. Although Ophthalmic Technician experience is preferred, we will provide you with our thorough training even if you have no experience but a great desire to learn for the first time.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting physicians in various clinical tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for those who have a desire to make a positive impact on patients' vision!

Duties:

• Obtain patient medical history reason for visit, family medical history, history of any allergies and list of current medications.
• Perform various tests and ensure patient understands what is being performed and how they will be affected during the tests.
• Renew prescriptions as directed by physician & perform other clinical tasks
• Show strong attention to details and accuracy in documentation
• Rotate evening shift (12:00-8:00 PM) once a week
• Phlebotomy certification a plus
• Bachelor degree a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
