Medical Assistant/OR Technician

Chelsea Fertility NYC is a boutique clinic, aimed at achieving a high level of customer service and excellence. The ideal candidate for the role of Medical Assistant/OR Technician would be as follows.

40 hours a week | Business hours: 9 AM – 4 PM EST | In-Person | New York, NY 10016

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians during OR procedures including egg retrievals, embryo transfers, and hysteroscopies
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field, surgical instruments, and procedure room before and after cases
  • Perform routine phlebotomy and assist with monitoring patients pre- and post-procedure
  • Room patients, obtain vitals, and prepare them for clinical visits and procedures
  • Assist with injection training and answer general logistical questions under nurse/physician supervision
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in our EMR system according to clinic procedures
  • Maintain and restock clinical supplies, medications, and procedure trays
  • Support the nursing team with patient coordination during active treatment cycles (IVF, IUI, Egg Freezing, FET)
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families
  • Promote and uphold Chelsea Fertility's standard of excellence in customer service
  • Provide feedback on process improvement opportunities to help gain day-to-day efficiencies

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years experience as a Medical Assistant or OR Technician, preferably in a fertility, OB/GYN, or ambulatory surgical setting

  • Familiarity with fertility procedures (egg retrieval, embryo transfer, hysteroscopy) strongly preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience required
  • Experience with EMR systems; familiarity with Practice Fusion, Kareo, or Patient Portal a plus — overall tech savvy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset
  • High level of flexibility, detail orientation, and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
