Medical Assistant/Pediatric Transportation

Join our pediatric healthcare team as a Transport & Pediatric Phlebotomy Assistant. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe transport of pediatric residents to and from external medical appointments, assist with basic phlebotomy needs, and provide support with stocking and organizing supplies on an as-needed basis.

This position requires reliability, physical stamina, strong organizational skills, and the ability to provide compassionate care to children. You will work closely with clinical staff and the Social Services Director to support the care of medically fragile children.

Applicants must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely transport of pediatric residents to and from external medical appointments
• Perform basic pediatric phlebotomy tasks (venipuncture and capillary draws) as assigned, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Assist with stocking, organizing, and distributing medical supplies on an as-needed basis
• Perform regular heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of equipment
• Maintain clean, organized storage areas for quick staff access
• Communicate supply needs, shortages, and damaged equipment to Social Service Director.
• Assist with basic documentation for lab draws
• Keep transport vehicles and equipment clean, safe, and operational
• Follow all facility safety, infection control, and compliance policies
• Represent the facility professionally when interacting with vendors, families, and medical offices

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
