Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist/ Float between Holland and Grand Rapids

MED-1 is looking for great people to join our team!

As a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist you will be responsible for providing administrative and patient care support to ensure efficient operation of MED-1. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Primary consideration given to Certified medical assistants, individuals with Phlebotomy and/or Xray experience.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document basic medical history
• Schedule appointments
• Update and file medical records
• Check with patients and chart within the electronic charting system
• Assist during medical examinations
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
• Provide a variety of services including; drug screens, venipuncture, immunizations, audio and vision testing, EKG, PFT, and x-ray.

Skills

• Primary consideration to those with proven working experience for a minimum of one year experience in a medical assistant role within the last 1 year
• Knowledge of patient management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Other important factors to consider:

• Monday - Friday
• One 8 hour holiday shift required per year once adequately trained
• Holiday pay and bonus incentive disbursement
• Compensation: $16.25+ per hour
