Internal Medicine Practice – Haddon Heights, NJ

Join our dynamic and growing internal medicine practice as a Medical Assistant / Receptionist, where you will serve as both the friendly face at the front desk and a key support member in clinical operations. This role blends patient interaction, administrative coordination, and hands-on medical support to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Open Positions & Schedule

  • Front Desk (2 positions):
  • Monday–Wednesday
  • Thursday–Friday
  • Medical Assistant (1 position):
  • Monday & Friday
  • Additional flexibility to cover shifts as needed

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, verify information, and manage check-in/check-out using EHR systems
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate follow-ups, and maintain efficient clinic flow
  • Answer phones, manage referrals, and verify insurance information
  • Collect patient histories, vital signs, and medication information
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during procedures
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Support physicians with documentation, coding basics, and clinical workflow
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and professional office environment

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Comfortable with computers and EHR systems
  • Interest in healthcare or pursuing a medical career (training available)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, or prior clinical experience preferred
  • Experience in outpatient, urgent care, dermatology, or hospital settings is a plus

Skills & Experience (Preferred)

  • Familiarity with vital signs, patient intake, and basic clinical procedures
  • Understanding of ICD coding and medical documentation
  • Ability to assist with minor procedures and maintain sterile environments
  • Compassionate patient care across diverse populations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
