Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and current medications accurately during patient intake
- Prepare examination rooms, assist providers with procedures, including X-ray operations and medication administration when necessary. EXPERIENCE WITH FLUOROSCOPY AND ULTRASOUND GUIDED INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES DEFINITELY A PLUS.
- Support clinical tasks such as performing basic physiology assessments, taking patient measurements, and assisting with ICD coding for diagnoses
- Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up coordination, and maintain organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring a comfortable environment for all patients across outpatient clinics or hospital settings
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or Receptionist in healthcare environments such as dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or outpatient facilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical-surgical documentation practices
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or hospital experience are a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle intake processes efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills focused on providing compassionate patient care and clear instructions
- Interventional Pain experience using fluoroscopy and ultrasound a plus.
