Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines front-office administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with the intake process efficiently
- Collect vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately
- Prepare patients for examinations by documenting medical histories and current symptoms
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures including medication administration, X-ray preparation, and basic life support when necessary
- Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately
- Support medical staff with ICD coding, anatomy knowledge, physiology understanding, and other medical terminology tasks
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-up communications, and insurance documentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to infection control protocols
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
- Support hospital experience tasks such as inpatient/outpatient coordination or Level I/II trauma center procedures when applicable
Requirements
. Must be able to draw blood
- Prior clinic experience in outpatient or hospital settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dermatology, emergency medicine, geriatrics, or medical-surgical specialties is a plus
- Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding practices is essential
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration procedures
- Experience working in hospital environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) is advantageous
- Excellent patient service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings including urgent care or hospital medicine environments

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
