Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role combines clinical support with front-office responsibilities, ensuring smooth patient flow and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care excellence within a diverse healthcare environment.

Duties

  • Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding and recording patient information.
  • Support medical staff with basic physiology and anatomy knowledge to facilitate patient assessments and care planning.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-up communications, and administrative support to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards across outpatient clinics or inpatient settings such as Geriatrics or PICU environments.
  • Handle insurance verification, billing documentation, and other medical administrative duties to streamline patient services.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with hospital or Level I/II trauma center environments enhances understanding of emergency medicine protocols.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Experience supporting inpatient units such as Geriatrics or Medical-surgical wards will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of EHR systems and proficiency in managing patient records is essential for success in this role.
