Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Medical Assistant/Receptionist Floater to join our healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive support to our Gynecology and MediSpa patients and providers. As a floater, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth clinic operations, delivering exceptional patient care, and maintaining efficient administrative workflows. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using E Clinical Works (eCW)
- Collect patient vital signs, medical histories, and current medications to prepare for provider consultations
- Support clinical procedures such as specimen collection, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) protocols
- Assist with patient intake, including updating medical records and documenting symptoms accurately
- Perform basic diagnostic tasks like taking recording vital signs in outpatient setting
- Maintain accurate documentation of ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) for billing and record-keeping purposes
- Manage administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and coordinating patient flow across different specialties
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols in emergency medicine and hospital environments while providing excellent patient service
Requirements
- Prior experience in a Medical Office settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and ICD coding standards
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent required; experience is a plus
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks essential for seamless clinic operations
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately in fast-paced environments
- Ability to adapt quickly
- Medical Office experience involving intake procedures, vital signs collection, medication administration, and documentation is highly valued
