Join our dynamic Urgent Care team as a Medical Assistant/X-ray Technician, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting clinical operations across outpatient and inpatient settings. This energetic position combines hands-on medical assistance with radiologic imaging, ensuring accurate diagnostics and compassionate patient interactions. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations or procedures.
- Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging with precision, adhering to safety protocols and radiation standards.
- Support patient care activities such as medication administration, wound dressing changes, and basic life support in emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding and medical terminology entries.
- Conduct routine clinical tasks like specimen collection, patient education, and monitoring physiological parameters.
- Support hospital medicine units or outpatient clinics by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and providing exceptional patient service.
- Assist with administrative duties such as insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and maintaining medical supplies inventory.
- Able to perform drug screens, breath alcohol and other occmed services.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately assist in diagnosis and treatment.
- Experience working in urgent care, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine settings.
- Proficiency in X-ray procedures and familiarity with radiologic safety standards.
- Ability to operate EHR systems efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Excellent patient service skills with compassionate communication and active listening abilities.
- Knowledge of ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
- EXPERITY knowledge is a PLUS!!
- Drug screen, occ med related services are also a plus
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
