Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our dynamic chiropractic and physical therapy clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience with healthcare billing, preferably within chiropractic and/or physical therapy settings. This position requires a motivated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage case-related communication with attorneys, and ensure timely and accurate insurance billing and charge posting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit insurance claims accurately and efficiently through our EMR system.
• Post charges and payments into the system with attention to detail.
• Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Work directly with attorneys and legal representatives for personal injury or accident-related case management.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
• Collaborate with providers and front office staff to ensure billing information is correct and complete.
• Communicate with insurance companies to verify benefits and resolve billing issues.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all other regulatory requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service when handling patient billing inquiries.
• Stay updated on billing and coding changes relevant to chiropractic and physical therapy services.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in medical billing (chiropractic and/or physical therapy preferred).
• Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes, CPT codes, and EOB interpretation.
• Experience working with personal injury and attorney-based cases is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
