We are a busy and growing ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) practice seeking a Certified Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the claims billing process, ensuring accurate coding and facilitating the collection of payments from patients and insurance companies. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems and billing procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and maximize revenue for our practice.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies using appropriate coding systems including , modifiers, CPT and ICD-10.
• Review patient records and ensure accuracy in medical billing and coding.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies or issues with insurance providers.
• Maintain organized medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for efficient billing processes.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices to ensure compliance.
• Handle patient billing inquiries professionally

Skills

• Proficient in modifiers, CPT coding, ICD-10, and general medical coding practices.
• Strong understanding of medical billing processes and collection procedures.
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and ability to interpret medical records accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
• Experience in claims filing, payment posting, denial management, and appeals
