Medical Coder (CPC/CCS Preferred)

Inspire ENT is a busy multi-specialty practice covering ENT, sleep, pulmonology, imaging, and in-office procedures. We're looking for a skilled Medical Coder who can handle both clinic and surgical services with accuracy, troubleshoot confidently, and communicate clearly with providers when documentation needs work. If you like finding the root cause, fixing it, and moving on, you'll fit right in. Full-time or part-time depending on the right fit, with pay ranging from $26–$32/hr based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign CPT codes, ICD-10 diagnoses, and modifiers accurately across ENT and specialty services
• Perform pre-bill audits to catch errors before claims go out
• Ensure coding is compliant with payer-specific rules and guidelines
• Support surgical and procedural coding for clinic and OR cases
• Manage claim rejections by identifying root cause, correcting issues, and resubmitting quickly
• Work denials and underpayments through resolution, including payer outreach and documentation follow-up
• Communicate directly with providers to clarify documentation when needed
• Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and a secure work environment for PHI
• Communicate recurring issues, trends, and process improvement opportunities to leadership

Qualifications

• CPC, CCS, or equivalent certification preferred
• 2+ years of coding experience, ideally in a surgical or specialty setting
• Strong working knowledge of payer rules and compliance requirements
• Fast, independent learner with strong problem-solving and critical thinking
• Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and time management
• Comfortable working independently and flagging issues proactively

What good looks like in this role

• Denial rate reduction of 30% or better
• Clean claim rate above 95%

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
