Responsibilities

• Follow up on unpaid claims, perform medical collections when necessary, and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized medical records, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards.
• Posts and manages patient payments
• Enters information necessary for insurance claims such as patient information, insurance ID, diagnosis and treatment codes and modifiers, and clinician information.
• Sends patient statements and collection letters
• Verifies insurance coverage
• Works with reception staff in collecting due amounts from patients and conducts eligibility checks for patients the day in advance and same day.

Skills

• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for coding and billing activities.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
