Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller / Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance follow-up, and patient collections, with preferred experience using Nextech software. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate claim submission, timely reimbursement, and effective revenue cycle management.

Responsibilities:

• Submit and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement
• Manage patient billing inquiries and collections activities in a professional manner
• Review and correct claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
• Work aging reports and reduce outstanding AR balances
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed
• Post payments and reconcile accounts accurately
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all billing regulations
• Collaborate with providers and office staff to resolve billing discrepancies

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in medical billing and/or collections required
• Nextech experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of insurance claims, EOBs, and denial management
• Familiarity with medical terminology and CPT/ICD-10 coding
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in plastic surgery billing
• Prior experience working AR aging reports
• Knowledge of payer portals and electronic claims submission systems
