Medical Biller & Eligibility Assistant

Rockville, MD, health insurance consulting company is seeking an individual for our Full Time-Medical Billing, Eligibility & Coding Department Position.

Requirements:
Two or more years of college plus Medical terminology experience.
AHIMA or AAPC Certification encouraged. Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD10 coding. Able to communicate clearly using both verbal and non verbal. Organized, perform multitasks. Pay close attention to detail. Enjoys working with the medical personnel and other professionals in-house, via phone, email, and fax. Is willing to accept challenges.
Knowledge of medical insurance terms, billing, and coding required.

This in-office position includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Answering and transferring incoming calls to the appropriate employees.
- Computer data entry and calling medical providers.
- Familiarity with claim eligibility and verification.
- Greeting and handling walk-in clients, vendors, and delivery agents.
- Faxing documents and good computer skills.
- Scanning and filing of documents.
- Candidate must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate attention to detail.

- Able to work independently and work well with others.
- Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Data Entry experience and typing must be 35-40 wpm or better.
- Two years of college a plus.

Work under the direction of the IDR Department Supervisor with clerical\administrative duties as assigned.
