Medical Biller – Home Health

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller with over 3 years of hands-on experience in home health billing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in handling claims for Medicare, UHC, Cigna, Humana, WellMed, Workers’ Compensation, and Medicaid. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage the full billing cycle efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance providers
* Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
* Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness
* Follow up on unpaid, rejected, or denied claims
* Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and discrepancies
* Post payments and maintain up-to-date patient billing records
* Handle patient billing inquiries and resolve issues promptly
* Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and billing guidelines
* Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information

Required Qualifications:
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in medical billing, specifically in home health
* Hands-on experience with Medicare, UHC, Cigna, Humana, WellMed, Workers’ Compensation, and Medicaid
* Strong working knowledge of ADR (Additional Documentation Request), NOA (Notice of Admission), and PDGM (Patient-Driven Groupings Model) in home health billing
* Strong knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance guidelines
* Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and billing software
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
* Certification in Medical Billing or Coding (CPC, CBCS, or equivalent)
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
