Medical Biller (Remote – Part-Time)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Remote Medical Biller to join our team. This role is responsible for insurance verification, claims submission, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance benefits and coverage
• Maintain organized, accurate records of claims and A/R status
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance carriers accurately and timely
• Post insurance and patient payments
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolve billing issues, and refile as needed
• Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical billing experience (mental health billing experience is a plus)
• Knowledge of insurance carriers, EOBs, and electronic claim submission
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with medical billing software (experience with AdvancedMD, TherapyNotes, SimplePractice, Athena, Gehrimed, etc.) preferred
