Medical Biller - Surgical Claims Specialist

Karachi, Pakistan

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented remote medical biller to join our team, with a primary focus on managing claims for All-on-X surgical procedures and other full-arch implant surgeries. This role involves end-to-end claims processing, proactive follow-up, and effective denial management to ensure maximum reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Management & Submission:
  • Prepare, review, and submit medical claims for All-on-X and other oral surgery procedures to insurance payers. Ensure that all claims are coded accurately with the correct surgical codes and modifiers for maximum reimbursement.
  • Denial Management & Appeals:

Track and analyze claim denials, identify patterns, and prepare and submit timely appeals. Work closely with our internal team to resolve any coding issues or documentation gaps that lead to denials.

  • Follow-Up & Communication:

Conduct regular follow-ups with insurance companies to check the status of claims, address any delays, and ensure that outstanding balances are resolved in a timely manner. Maintain clear and professional communication with both the internal surgical team and external payers.Ensure all billing activities comply with relevant regulations and payer policies. Maintain accurate records of claims, appeals, and reimbursements in our billing systems.Bring a strong understanding of surgical codes related to full-arch dental implant procedures, especially All-on-X. Be comfortable working with medical insurance billing rather than traditional dental billing, and able to navigate the nuances of out-of-network claims.Qualifications:

  • Surgical Billing Expertise:
  • Proven experience in medical billing, particularly
  • Strong familiarity with surgical billing codes and procedures, especially related to All-on-X and full-arch implant surgeries. Prior experience with medical (not just dental) insurance billing is a must.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with payers, resolve issues, and work collaboratively with the surgical team.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Familiarity with relevant billing software and electronic health record systems
