We are seeking a highly organized and client-focused Medical Billing Account Manager to serve as the primary liaison between healthcare providers and our medical billing team. The ideal candidate will manage client accounts, oversee end-to-end revenue cycle performance, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant medical billing operations.

This role requires strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance claims, denial management, and payer workflows, along with exceptional communication and relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client & Account Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned medical billing clients
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with healthcare providers and practice administrators
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review billing performance, KPIs, and revenue trends
  • Address client questions, concerns, and escalations in a timely and professional manner

Revenue Cycle Oversight

  • Oversee the full medical billing lifecycle: charge entry, coding review, claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and collections
  • Monitor claim acceptance rates, denial trends, AR aging, and reimbursement timelines
  • Identify revenue leakage and recommend process improvements to maximize collections
  • Ensure accurate and timely resolution of denied and underpaid claims

Operational Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal billing, coding, AR, and compliance teams
  • Ensure client-specific payer rules, fee schedules, and workflows are followed
  • Support onboarding of new clients, including data migration and workflow setup
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client requirements and SOPs

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly billing performance reports
  • Track KPIs such as clean claim rate, days in AR, denial rate, and collection percentage
  • Provide actionable insights to clients to improve revenue cycle outcomes

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and healthcare regulations
  • Monitor billing accuracy and audit reports to maintain high quality standards
  • Stay current on changes in CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes, and payer policies

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management
  • 3+ year of experience in an account management or client-facing role (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of insurance claims, EOBs, denials, and payer processes
  • Experience working with EHR and practice management systems
  • Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding fundamentals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing multi-specialty billing
  • Familiarity with RCM metrics and reporting tools
  • Prior experience working in a medical billing company or healthcare services organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
  • Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or similar certification (a plus)
