Medical Billing and Coding Specialist

We are seeking an individual with medical billing and EMR billing software experienced to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of charge posting, coding, strong background in accounts receivable as well as experience with insurance companies and government regulations. The Medical Biller will be responsible for submitting claims to insurance companies, collecting payments from patients, and ensuring that all payments are accurately processed. The successful candidate will also be able to troubleshoot any billing issues and work with the medical staff to ensure that all claims are properly submitted as well as strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies.
• Maintain accurate records of billing activities.
• Analyze and resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
• Review patient accounts for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Knowledge eCW EHR system is a PLUS.

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
• Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)

Job Type: Full-time
