Medical Billing A/R Specialist

Retina Associates of Cleveland Inc., one of Ohio’s largest private Ophthalmology practices is currently seeking a Full-Time A/R Specialist to join our Beachwood office. This position includes the following responsibilities:

· Working insurance denials and submitting insurance appeals

· Working clearinghouse insurance rejections and failed claims

· Following up on unpaid insurance claims

· Patient account collections

· Answering patient phone calls

We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and one that can take and follow directions with minimal error.

Ability to work as part of a team in a very fast paced environment while maintaining professional interaction is required.

Flexible Schedule: Start time as late as 9:30

Able to work (4) 10 hour shifts with one day off during the week (scheduled day off must be approved by manager)

• Skills:
• Medical insurance billing terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding
• Insurance denials experience preferred but not required
• Strong 10-key and typing skills
• Working with Allscripts Practice Management software preferred but not required
• Ability to understand EMR chart information
• Must be able to consistently manage a high volume of work
• Must be an independent, quick learner in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision/direction
• Ability to meet monthly deadlines
• Superior customer service and communication skills
• Capable of always managing difficult phone calls with professionalism and diplomacy

Salary: $21.00 per hour
