Medical Billing A/R Specialist, Denial collection Specialist, Claims analysis

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized claims analyst who specializes in Medicare and also Medicaid to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the billing process for medical services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to handle medical records efficiently. Responsibilities

• Analysis of A/R and Denials
• Collections from insurance, patient A/R Collection and Denial Collections
• Accurately process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and government payers.
• Review patient records for completeness and accuracy before billing.
• Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure proper coding of diagnoses and procedures.
• Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and resolving discrepancies.
• Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries and issues.
• Maintain organized medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
• Assist in the collection of outstanding payments from patients as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or related roles within a medical office environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10).
• Strong understanding of medical records management and healthcare systems.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
• Proficient in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Certification in Medical Billing or Coding is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.08 - $22.00 per hour
