Medical Billing Assistant (Part-Time / Remote Option) – Trias Pathology Diagnostics

Trias Pathology Diagnostics is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Billing Assistant to support our growing laboratory team. This role focuses on account follow-up, patient collections, and billing accuracy to ensure timely reimbursement and strong revenue cycle performance.

This is a part-time position (4–5 hours per day) with flexible scheduling. The role can be remote for the right candidate, provided performance expectations are consistently met.

Available shifts:

• Morning to mid-afternoon
• Mid-afternoon to evening

Responsibilities

• Perform account follow-up and collections on outstanding claims and patient balances
• Make outbound calls to patients and insurance companies to resolve balances
• Review accounts and take appropriate action to move claims toward resolution
• Document all activity clearly and accurately in the system
• Verify insurance information and assist with claim corrections as needed
• Collaborate with team members to resolve billing issues and improve workflows

Qualifications

• Previous experience in medical billing, AR follow-up, or collections preferred
• Strong understanding of insurance claims and revenue cycle processes
• Comfortable making outbound calls and handling patient collections
• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a remote setting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience with **CollaborateMD is a plus
