Medical Billing Manager for Orthopedics

Crovetti Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a professional, dedicated, and detail oriented Medical Billing Supervisor to oversee medical billing workflows and operations. This role is responsible for managing the medical billing team and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth medical billing knowledge, effective communication and supervisory skills, and a comprehensive understanding of revenue cycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily medical billing operations, including charge posting, payment posting, and denial management. Monitor billing workflows, claim submissions, and A/R aging to ensure timely reimbursement, proper follow up, and minimal delays. Coordinate and support client onboarding and training. Serve as an escalation point for complex billing issues, payer disputes, and patient inquiries, providing timely resolution while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Ensure compliance with CMS regulations, HIPAA requirements, payer guidelines, and Nevada healthcare standards. Maintain current knowledge of industry regulations and implement process updates as requirements evolve. Analyze billing reports and denial trends, identify root causes, and recommend actionable process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce denials.
• Maintain billing policies, procedures, and best practices to promote consistency and process optimization across the team. Encourage strong communication, knowledge sharing, and cross functional collaboration to improve productivity and problem solving. Coach and support billing staff to drive accuracy, productivity, and compliance while fostering a collaborative, high performing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of medical billing experience required. Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD 10, HCPCS coding, and payer specific rules.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and medical billing software.
• Certification in Medical Billing or Coding such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Proven ability to drive results and improve revenue cycle processes.
• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to supporting both internal teams and external clients.
