Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Billing Office Manager to lead our healthcare billing operations with enthusiasm and precision. Duties
- Supervise daily billing operations, including claim submissions, follow-ups, and denials management across various EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, Dentrix, and Eaglesoft.
- Oversee billing staff, providing training and guidance on medical terminology, medical records management, and insurance procedures related to managed care and utilization management.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and JCAHO standards by maintaining strict confidentiality of medical records and implementing security protocols.
- Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, and monitoring accounts receivable to maximize revenue collection.
- Coordinate with clinical teams to verify patient information, insurance details, and coding accuracy for acute care, hospital experience, or dental clinic services.
- Develop and implement office policies related to medical administrative support, human resources practices, and practice management strategies to improve workflow efficiency.
- Prepare reports on billing performance metrics, revenue cycle analysis, and practice management insights for executive review.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management with a strong background in healthcare billing processes.
- Expertise in EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records handling, HIPAA compliance, and insurance procedures including managed care.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience managing teams within a busy medical or dental office environment.
- Skilled in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle optimization.
- Familiarity with hospital or acute care settings as well as dental clinic operations is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
