Medical Billing Research Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Billing Research Coordinator & Collection Specialist to join our Research team. This role involves analyzing and researching medical billing data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal reimbursement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical coding systems, billing procedures, and Research trials . This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in medical billing and coding to contribute to improving billing processes and supporting Research Trials

Duties

• Conduct thorough research on medical billing records to verify accuracy and completeness in the CTMS REALTIME SYSTEM.
• Analyze Procedures from CTA Budgets provided by Sponsors
• Review Electronic Visit notes documentation to ensure proper procedures and billing compliance
• Collaborate with Clinical Research Coordinators and SITE MANAGER departments to resolve discrepancies in invoicing and payments
• Utilize CTMS REALTIME to extract relevant billing information and update records accordingly
• Maintain detailed documentation of research findings and procedure adjustments
• Assist in the development of process improvements for medical Research billing workflows
• Stay current with changes in medical coding standards, regulations, and industry best practices

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical billing, medical coding, or related RESEARCH administration roles
• Strong knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, ICD coding, and medical terminology
• Familiarity CTA / BUDGET AND SPONSORS
• Experience working with CTMS REALTIME
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for accurate research and data verification
• Prior experience in medical collection IS A MUST
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to billing compliance is desirable
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• SPEAKS AND WRITES PROPER ENGLISH
• Experience in outlook, email creations, word, excel

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
