Medical Billing Specialist

Cardiovascular Medicine, PLLC is looking for a Billing Specialist for our Patient Financial Services Department in Davenport. If you have a positive can-do attitude, desire a stable professional work environment with professional growth, and are looking for a career in healthcare, we want you!

The Billing Specialist is responsible for accurately reflecting, to third party payors, the services interpreted by the medical staff of Cardiovascular Medicine by selecting the appropriate ICD and CPT codes. Ideal candidate will possess an overall knowledge of the Revenue Cycle and be able to perform the following duties:

• Establish and update new patient records
• Accurately and efficiently verify diagnostic tests done at the hospital
• Accurately and timely select appropriate codes for hospital interpretation, enter charges into the practice management system
• Enter hospital based charges in an accurate and timely manner
• Promptly review hospital procedure logs/schedules to identify any missed charges

Experience/education/certification in healthcare or related field preferred.
