Medical Billing Specialist

Duties may include but not limited to:

• Performing billing and collection activities by communicating with physician offices, payor representatives and patients
• Working with payors and offices on payment denials/rejections and accuracy of payments
• Monitoring patient accounts and setting up patient payment plans
• Performing insurance verifications
• Posting payments

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 5 years medical billing experience required
• An understanding of medical and insurance terminology, policies and procedures
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
• Organization and time management skills
• Ability to work autonomously but also with others in a team/group environment
