Medical Billing Specialist

The Pediatric Center is looking for a friendly, dependable and efficient person to join our team in the billing department.

We are a busy, independent pediatric practice that is dedicated to providing a comprehensive, caring medical home. Duties including:
· Efficient analysis of insurance claims to ensure accurate coding for optimum reimbursement
· Posting payments
· Research and appeal insurance payments that are late, underpaid or denied incorrectly
· Manage Accounts Receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
· Answering phone inquiries from patients regarding benefit coverage and making payments
· Support Front Desk with billing and eligibility workflows
· Review referrals to specialists to ensure pre-authorization requirements are met

Required Qualifications:
· CPC or minimum 2 years experience of full Revenue Cycle Management for physician services
· Detailed knowledge of Billing Rules and Regulations including ICD-10 and CPT coding
· Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
· EPIC experience preferred but not required

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
