Medical Billing Specialist - In office

Dermatology practice seeking a professional, motivated, detail oriented experienced medical billing and coding specialist to join our team. We are looking for a pleasant, positive person who loves people and is looking for a long term position. You must share our dedication to providing excellent customer service for our patients. This position in an in office position only.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Process payments from insurance and patients daily
• Post charges for patient services
• Generate weekly A/R reports for all accounts over 30 days
• Answer and resolve inquiries from patients and insurance carriers to resolve billing related issues
• Analyze and take necessary action on aging and rejected claims
• Prepare any medical records request from assigned carriers
• Friendly and patient under stress
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to communicate billing issues clearly to patients
• Problem solving and follow-through

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High school or equivalent
• Experience: Must have a good understanding of remittances, denials, ICD-10, CPT, and payer contracts. Must have 4+ years of medical billing experience. CPC-A or CPC certified a plus.
• Skill: Excellent communication skills, energetic and a team player with a positive attitude. Spanish speaking a plus.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of electronic medical records. Knowledge of Modernizing Medicine and Trizetto Provider Solutions a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
