We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Support Manager with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of directly managing client relationships. The ideal candidate will oversee medical billing support operations, ensure compliance with billing standards, and act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering timely updates and resolving issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily medical billing support operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely claim processing.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining direct communication to address inquiries, escalations, and performance updates.
- Communicate billing status, denials, AR follow-ups, and resolution timelines clearly to clients.
- Coordinate with internal billing, coding, and AR teams to resolve complex billing issues.
- Monitor KPIs, billing turnaround times, and client SLAs to ensure service quality.
- Handle client escalations professionally and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and healthcare billing regulations.
- Prepare and present regular reports to clients on billing performance and improvements.
- Train and mentor billing support staff on communication best practices and billing workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong experience in direct client communication within a medical billing or healthcare services environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex billing matters clearly.
- In-depth knowledge of medical billing processes, CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, AR, and denial management.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with US healthcare clients and payers.
- Familiarity with major billing software and EHR systems.
- Experience handling client reviews, audits, and performance meetings.
