Position Overview

The Medical Billing Trainee will support the end‑to‑end medical billing process for healthcare providers in the U.S. market. This role is designed for fresh graduates or individuals beginning their career in revenue cycle management (RCM). The trainee will receive structured training on medical billing workflows, software tools, compliance standards, and communication protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in entering, verifying, and updating patient demographic and insurance information.

Learn and support claim creation, submission, and follow‑up processes.

Review claims for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with payer guidelines.

Coordinate with senior billers to resolve claim rejections and denials.

Maintain documentation and update billing systems with relevant notes.

Understand basic medical terminology, CPT/ICD codes, and insurance rules (training provided).

Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (any discipline); preference for commerce, life sciences, or healthcare‑related fields.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data.

Good communication skills (written and verbal).

Basic computer proficiency—MS Office, email, and data entry.

Willingness to learn U.S. healthcare billing processes and payer requirements.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, process‑driven environment.
