Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls promptly with a friendly, professional demeanor, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
  • Assist patients by collecting and verifying personal and medical information with clarity and accuracy.
  • Schedule appointments, follow-up calls, and coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Provide detailed explanations of medical procedures, insurance processes, or appointment requirements in clear language.
  • Maintain comprehensive records by accurately entering data into electronic health record systems while adhering to confidentiality standards.
  • Support medical office staff by handling administrative tasks such as data entry, appointment reminders, and documentation updates.
  • Communicate effectively with multilingual patients, utilizing bilingual skills when available to enhance understanding and service quality.

Skills

  • Proficiency in English communication with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically.
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret patient inquiries and documentation.
  • Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with data entry systems and electronic health records.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience with a focus on professionalism and patience.
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette best practices to ensure respectful and effective communication.
  • Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Analytical skills to assess caller needs quickly and provide appropriate solutions or escalate issues as necessary. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
