Join Our Team! Full-Time Call Center/Patient Services Representative – Northeast Valley. Phoenix/Scottsdale

Are you passionate about patient care and looking for a rewarding career in a fast-paced medical environment? Our established ophthalmology practice, with over 40 years of dedication to the Valley, is seeking full-time Medical Call Center/Patient Services Representatives to support our six locations.

We are a busy, patient-focused ophthalmology/optometry practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care in a professional, compassionate environment. Our team values teamwork, efficiency, and creating a positive experience for every patient from the first phone call to the final visit.

This hybrid role blends call center responsibilities with front office patient services. You will primarily support patients over the phone three days a week and in person two days a week, assisting them with appointments, insurance, and care while providing clear, compassionate service.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting, communicates clearly, and genuinely enjoys helping people.

Location: Call Center/Patient Services Representative – Allied Way, occasional travel required
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, occasional Saturday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

Call Center Duties

  • Answer high-volume inbound calls in a professional and timely manner
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
  • Triage calls and route appropriately to clinical or administrative staff
  • Provide patients with information about services, providers, and office policies
  • Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information
  • Document all calls accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Patient Services / Front Desk Duties

  • Greet and check in patients with a welcoming, professional demeanor
  • Collect co-pays, balances, and required documentation
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Manage patient flow and communicate delays when necessary
  • Assist with check-out, follow-up scheduling, and patient questions
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times

  • Detail-oriented with accurate documentation habits
  • Empathy and patience with patients of all ages
  • Comfortable handling high call volumes calmly and professionally
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and cloud-based EHR systems

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Previous call center or medical office experience
