Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented medical professional (such as a retired nurse, medical assistant, or healthcare worker) to support our Workers’ Compensation legal team.
This role focuses heavily on reviewing and understanding medical records, treatment histories, and injuries. No prior legal experience is required — we will train the right candidate on the legal side.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a clinical background who wants a flexible, part-time or full-time role in a professional office setting.
Responsibilities
- Review, interpret, and summarize medical records, treatment plans, and physician notes
- Identify key injuries, diagnoses, and treatment timelines in workers’ compensation cases
- Communicate with medical providers to obtain records and clarifications
- Assist attorneys in understanding medical aspects of cases
- Organize and track medical documentation and case files
- Support preparation for hearings by compiling medical summaries
- (Secondary) Assist with basic legal documentation and case coordination (training provided)
Qualifications
- Background in healthcare preferred (e.g., RN, LPN, medical assistant, physical therapy aide, etc.)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and treatment processes
- Experience reviewing or working with medical records
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes
- No prior legal experience required (training will be provided)
Bonus (not required):
- Prior exposure to workers’ compensation or personal injury cases
- Experience in administrative or office settings
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
