Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Claims and Billing Manager to oversee billing operations within our physical therapy practice. This role is critical to ensuring efficient revenue cycle performance, accurate claims processing, and full compliance with healthcare regulations.

The Medical Claims and Billing Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the practice and an outsourced billing vendor. This individual will be responsible for driving accountability, improving operational performance, and ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the performance of the outsourced billing vendor, ensuring adherence to service standards and contractual expectations
• Monitor and optimize revenue cycle processes, including claim submission, payment posting, and denial management
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of medical claims in accordance with payer requirements and industry regulations
• Analyze billing and financial data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with internal teams and the billing vendor to resolve claim issues and reduce denials
• Maintain compliance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and payer guidelines
• Develop and implement best practices for physical therapy billing operations

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in medical claims processing, billing, or revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of insurance protocols, coding standards (CPT, ICD), and healthcare regulations.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team/processes effectively.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
• Proficiency in billing software systems and electronic health records (EHR).
• Effective communication skills for liaising with insurance companies, clinical staff, and patients.
