Medical Claims/Patient Financial Services Specialist

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Claims/Patient Financial Services Specialist & located in Lawrenceville, GA. This role will be responsible for validating insurance and eligibility. Determining estimated patient responsibility and collecting for surgical procedures. Placing collection phone calls, answering phone calls, and responding to patient questions. Daily claims follow-up tasks include reviewing claim status and working claim rejections, resolving denied claims, and maintaining accurate records of all follow up activities. Additionally, the specialist will coordinate with medical staff regarding any required documentation and assist in the appeals process as necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience with insurance eligibility & benefits
• Experience with medical claims follow-up and billing practices
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Previous experience in gastroenterology or similar specialties is a plus
• Experience with Ggastro a plus

Pay range: $20-$25

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
