Medical Coder

Job Responsibilities:

• Assign accurate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes for medical diagnoses, procedures, and services.
• Review patient records and clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
• Verify medical documentation for completeness and correct coding requirements.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding coding-related queries.
• Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, insurance requirements, and coding guidelines.
• Prepare and submit claims accurately to minimize claim rejections and denials.
• Audit coded records and identify areas for improvement in documentation and billing processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
• Generate coding and billing reports as required by management.
• Stay updated with coding standards, regulations, and healthcare industry changes.

Requirements:

• CPC Certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience as a Medical Coder.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with medical insurance claims and reimbursement procedures.
• Good communication and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high accuracy levels.
