Medical Coder and Biller

Overview
Join our busy Optometry office team as a Medical Coder and Biller, where you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate medical coding and efficient billing processes. We value energetic, detail-oriented professionals eager to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry.

Duties

• Reviewing chart notes and filing appropriate insurance claims for medical and vision insurance.
• Posting insurance payments daily
• Creating and reviewing A/R reports related to the practice, regularly
• Assign denied claims to appropriate staff
• Scanning EOB's after posting
• Answer phones as needed
• Assist in daily office duties as required
• Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner
• Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team setting

Experience

• At least 1 year of medical billing/coding experience or medical billing/coding certification required.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
