Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder and Biller to join our team in Van Nuys, CA. This role is vital in ensuring accurate medical coding and billing to support our mission of providing exceptional addiction treatment services at our medical office.
Responsibilities:

• Accurately assign ICD and CPT codes to patient records in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Review medical documentation to ensure proper coding and billing procedures.
• Collaborate with medical staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
• Utilize EMR and EHR systems effectively for documentation and coding processes.
• Support medical billing and collections activities to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
• Assist in maintaining accurate medical records for audit purposes.
• Qualifications:
• Proven experience in medical coding, especially with ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation.
• Proficiency with EMR and EHR systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing and collections processes.
