We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bilingual Patient Collections Specialist to join our team in Howell, MI.

Position Overview:
This role is responsible for managing patient accounts and medical insurance receivables while providing excellent customer service in both English and Spanish. The ideal candidate has experience in medical billing, collections, and insurance follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and follow up on patient account balances and collections
• Work medical insurance receivables, including claims follow-up and resolution
• Communicate with patients regarding outstanding balances in a professional and empathetic manner
• Answer billing inquiries and explain charges, insurance coverage, and payment options
• Utilize billing systems to update account information and document activity
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
• Experience in medical billing, collections, or insurance receivables
• Knowledge of EOBs, claims processing, and insurance guidelines
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

• Experience with healthcare revenue cycle management
• Familiarity with medical billing software and EMR systems
