Medical Content Writer & Researcher (Cardiology / Heart Health Focus)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Medical Content Writer & Researcher who can create clear, engaging, evidence-based content focused on heart health, preventive cardiology, lifestyle medicine, and general cardiology topics.
You will write for:
- Blogs on our heart health website
- Instagram & TikTok scripts
- Educational newsletters
- Website articles
- Patient-facing guides
- Medical summaries & research-based content
This role requires strong medical knowledge, excellent writing skills, and the ability to translate complex cardiology concepts into simple, engaging, high-impact content that is accurate and aligned with current guidelines (ACC/AHA, ESC, USPSTF, ADA, AHA, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
Content Writing
- Write blogs (700–1500 words) on cardiology and preventive heart health topics.
- Create scripts for 30–60 second Instagram and TikTok Reels.
- Create scripts for long form YouTube videos
- Draft newsletter content based on provided themes and research.
- Write high-quality educational posts for social media (Instagram/Facebook/LinkedIn).
- Convert medical research into engaging, easy-to-read insights for a general audience.
Medical Research
- Research guidelines (ACC/AHA, ESC, AHA, ADA, etc.) and summarize key points.
- Review latest trials and convert them into patient-friendly content.
- Fact-check all content and ensure scientific accuracy.
- Maintain updated knowledge of cardiology trends (GLP-1s, heart failure therapy, Lp(a), sleep apnea, etc.).
Content Strategy & Collaboration
- Work closely with the physician-founder to plan monthly content themes.
- Assist in developing SEO-friendly blog topics and outlines.
- Adapt content tone for social media vs. website vs. newsletters.
- Provide professional-quality work with quick turnaround times.
Required Qualifications
MUST HAVE PRIOR WRITING EXPERIENCE
Education
- Medical background strongly preferred
- MBBS, MD, MPH, PharmD, BS Nursing, or similar
- OR a science writer with proven history writing medical content
Skills
- Exceptional English writing skills
- Ability to simplify complex medical concepts
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Experience writing for blogs, newsletters, or social media
- Ability to research high-quality sources (PubMed, ACC, AHA, NEJM, ESC, Circulation, JACC)
- Ability to create scripts in conversational, engaging tone
