Medical Courier

Location: East Point, FL → Panama City, FL Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099) Schedule: Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM CST Pay: $70 per route/day | Weekly Pay (2-week hold)

We are hiring a Medical Courier / Delivery Driver for a dedicated evening route transporting veterinary laboratory specimens. This is a 1099 independent contractor position using your own fuel-efficient vehicle.

This route services the same veterinary clinics every day, providing consistent stops, predictable hours, and reliable income.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up medical laboratory specimens from assigned veterinary clinics
• Collect specimens via:
• Lockboxes (key provided)
• Clinic refrigerators (self-serve)
• Inside pickup after checking in with clinic staff
• Verify and collect all available specimens at each location
• Properly package specimens using provided supplies
• Transport specimens to the designated testing laboratory in Panama City, FL
• Complete end-of-route airport handoff to the pilot
• Accurately complete required paperwork and chain-of-custody documentation
• Maintain professional communication with clinic staff

Equipment & Supplies

• Specimen bags and packaging materials
• Lockbox key
• Limited ice packs (rotated and frozen overnight)

Cooler Required: A cooler is required for this route. You may start without one but must obtain one promptly.

Requirements

• Must use your own reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Prior courier, delivery driver, or medical courier experience preferred

Route Coverage Is Mandatory

• This route must be covered every scheduled workday. Medical and laboratory logistics do not allow for missed routes, last-minute cancellations, or inconsistent attendance.
• Contractors are expected to maintain reliable backup coverage. If a backup driver is not available, you are required to provide a minimum of 6 hours’ notice if you cannot complete your route.
• Failure to ensure route completion may result in financial chargebacks, loss of the route, or termination of the contractor relationship, in accordance with company policy and the independent contractor agreement.
• Please apply only if you can commit to consistent, dependable coverage. This role is not suitable for individuals seeking flexible or “on-call” work.

Pay & Schedule Details

• $70 per day worked
• Monday–Friday only
• Major holidays off
• Paid weekly (2-week hold)
• Workweek: Sunday–Saturday
• Payday: Friday
• Route pay covers the route only
