Join our dynamic team as a Medical Courier and play a vital role in ensuring the timely and secure transportation of medical supplies, equipment, and linen. This energetic position offers the opportunity to contribute to healthcare delivery by providing reliable, efficient courier services. As a Medical Courier, you will be the essential link between the Base Hospital, Warehouse, and Medical Clinics, delivering critical items with professionalism and care. Your enthusiasm for driving and customer service will help us maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency in our operations. This is a contract position, great for supplemental income. Military Veterans, Uber/Lift Drivers, GoPuff, HopSkipDriver, etc...., encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate 16ft box truck(with tracking) and other vehicles to safely transport medical items across designated routes.
- Load and unload shipments using pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
- Deliver medical supplies, equipment, and linens from hospital and warehous, directly to clinics, or other healthcare facilities on scheduled routes.
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including signatures and delivery logs, maintaining compliance with health regulations.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal functioning throughout shifts.(Must contact management for any vehicle malfunction.)
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery times and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
- Follow all safety guidelines related to heavy lifting, moving items, and driving heavy-duty vehicles to prevent accidents or injuries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier roles, preferably within healthcare or warehouse environments.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is required.
- Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and managing deliveries efficiently.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely using appropriate techniques or equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients and healthcare staff.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory handling and safety standards.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments that require attention to detail and adherence to strict schedules. Major Requirements
- Must have up to date driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must have military base access.
- Box truck driving experience.
- Must be able to work 5-6 hours, Monday-Friday(9am Start Time at Naval Hospital in Camp Pendleton, ending at Temecula Tri-Care Clinic).
- Experience with delivery apps
- Must be able to lift 50-100lbs
- Must live in the North County area(Preferably Temecula).
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $150.00 - $170.00 per day
