Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a Courier. As a Courier, you will be responsible for transporting goods and documents to various locations in a timely and efficient manner. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting. Duties: - Safely operate a commercial vehicle, such as a van or tractor-trailer, to deliver goods and documents to designated locations - Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of the cargo - Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery - Communicate with dispatchers and customers to provide updates on delivery status - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving - Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documentation - Handle refrigerated trailers when transporting temperature-sensitive items Skills: - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Proven experience as a courier or delivery driver preferred - Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently - Strong knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills This is a paid position with competitive compensation.
